Laser and Peeling
The latest in facial resurfacing technology.
Thanks to high energy radiation, it has the same effect as peeling and dermabrasion, except that the laser directs gradual, successive beams to remove the skin layer by layer. It can treat wrinkles, brown spots, acne scars and spider veins.
It can be used on the whole face or on specific zones, and for all skins, even darker skin tones. In addition, the laser may have a slight lifting effect especially on the lower eyelids.
The laser vaporizes layers of skin cells, varying according to the energy contained in the laser beam.
The surgeon has precise control over the laser’s penetration depth.
In a peel, chemical solutions are applied using a cotton swab over the entire face, or only on a portion (eyelids, lips).
The acid in the solution (AHA – TCA) or a phenol-based formulation causes the old skin to peel off, producing controlled tissue death and activating the skin’s regeneration mechanism. The treatment results in reduced wrinkles, fine lines and brown spots.
